Chris was born in Roseburg, OR in 1982 and other than a brief year in Northern California, has lived in the state his whole life. Growing up in Roseburg Chris spent his spare time recreating on the streams, lakes, and mountains in the area.
Chris graduated from Roseburg High School in 2000 and moved onto Umpqua Community College while he worked and saved for university education over the next four years. After earning an Associate of Science degree from UCC he moved onto studying at Oregon State University from 2005-2008, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Forest Operations Management and a minor in Business.
Throughout school Chris worked in various jobs. While going to UCC he was a tutor for biology and mathematics. He also worked as a part time supervisor at the Roseburg UPS hub. In the summers of his last year at UCC and his first at OSU he worked for a small local logging company (Chippewa Logging) on small private forests in the glide area. In the summer of 2007 Chris was hired as an intern for Weyerhaeuser Co in South Valley Timberlands.
After graduation, Chris was hired as a field specialist at Weyerhaeuser SVT. In 2013, he had the opportunity to shift into logging contract administration and in 2016 he was transferred to the Shady Cove office to manage road layout/construction and harvesting for the Southern Oregon area.
Chris joined PUR as a director alternate in 2014 learning the ropes of PUR's function and processes. He became a board director in 2015 and is currently in his first term as a director.
